The Present Perfect Tense
Usage:
The present Perfect tense is commonly used in English for actions which happened in the past, but have an effect in the present. or The present Perfect tense is used for actions that happened at an unspecified time before now. The exact time is not important. The Present Perfect tense is not used with specific time expressions such as: yesterday, one year ago, last week, when I was a child, when I lived in India, at that moment, that day, one day, etc. It is used with unspecific expressions such as: ever, never, once, many times, several times, before, so far, already, yet, etc.
Verb:
Third form of verb
Helping Verb:
Have (I,We,You,They and Plural nouns)
Has(He,She,It and Singular nouns)
How to make a Simple Sentence?
Subject+Helping verb+Third form of Verb+Object.
Example:
- I have met Ahmed twenty times.
- There have been many earthquakes in Balochistan.
- My English teacher has taught that lesson many times
Helping Verb+Subject+Third form of Verb+Object ?
Example:
- Have I met Ahmed twenty times?
- Have there been many earthquakes in Balochistan?
- Has my English teacher taught that lesson many times?
How to make a Negative Sentence?
Subject+Helping Verb+not+Third form of Verb+Object.
