The Present Indefinite Tense

Usage:

The present tense is the tense (that is, the form of the verb) that may be used to express:

  • action at the present
  • a state of being;
  • a habitual action;
  • an occurrence in the (very) near future; or
  • an action that occurred in the past and continues up to the present.
Verb:
First form of verb (s/es/ies)
Helping Verb:
Do (I,We,You,They and Plural Subjects)
Does(He,She,It and Third Person Singular Subjects)
Note: (Helping verb is not used in Simple sentences.It is used in Interrogative and Negative Sentences)
How to make a Simple Sentence?
Subject+First form of Verb(s/es/ies)+Object.
Example: They play tennis.
She washes the plates.
He praises his brother.
Ahmed flies a kite.
How to make an Interrogative Sentence?
Helping Verb+Subject+First form of Verb+Object ?
Example: Do they play tennis?
Does she wash the plates?
Does he praise his brother?
Does Ahmed fly a kite?
How to make a Negative Sentence?
Subject+Helping Verb+not+First form of Verb+Object.
Example: They do not play tennis.
She does not wash the plates.
He does not praise his brother.
Ahmed does not fly a kite.
